I’m sad because of this piece of news:
Ne-Yo announced through his Twitter account that he’s going to be a dad for the very first time. The singer tweeted: “LADIES AND GENTS!!! I’M HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT I’M HAVING A BEAUTIFUL BABYGIRL!!! THANK YOU GOD.” The mother of Ne-Yo’s child is Monyetta Shaw and she’s currently four months pregnant. But don’t expect wedding bells anytime soon for this bachelor. The songwriter told Ebony Magazine, “I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I’m very, very, very excited about that. It’s a New Year’s baby and I’m just in a really good place right now.” The newborn is due January 2011. Congrats!
First I find out Kevin James, the first love of my life is married (to a beautiful Asian) …NOW, I’m finding out the 2nd love of my life, Ne-yo is having a baby!!!! AH, I could just cry right now! The reason why I love Ne-yo so much is that he’s so down to earth!!! I’ve interviewed him 3 times and EVERY time, he’s such a sweetheart. He lets me ask any questions I want. He’s not one of those diva celebrities that come with a long list of questions NOT to ask. He’s talented, his music is the bomb, and …I could just go on and on. (sigh!)

What does being on tour with Justin Beiber entail?

I know concerts take a lot of work, equipment, production, etc. but had NO clue it was at this level, maybe because it’s Justin Bieber? Each show will use 30 miles of cable, 30 towels for onstage use, one-million pieces of confetti, 10 disco balls, a metal heart that weighs 400 pounds and more. There are nine trucks used to carry all the equipment and 11 buses for all the personnel on tour. 20 guitars will be used each show and somewhere between two and three-thousand guitar picks will be utilized on tour.
MY WORLD TOUR FUN FACTS
FOOD
10-thousand fries are consumed in one day.
75 Starbucks drinks are consumed in one day.
Pre-show snack favorites include Sour Patch Kids and Gummy Worms.
Dancers burn over 6,000 calories a show, each!
EQUIPMENT
30 miles of cable are used in the show.
30 towels are used onstage for each show.
20 rolls of electrical tape are used in a day (Over three-thousand feet of tape).
48,600 feet of gaffer’s tape will be used for the tour.
9 trucks are used to carry all equipment.
11 buses are used for all personnel.
32 tons/64,000 pounds of equipment are on the set.
Over 500 cases are used for equipment.
WARDROBE
75 hats are brought on tour by the dancers alone.
Each dancer has their own hat case.
STAGE PROPS
One-million pieces of confetti are used for each show.
10 disco balls fit in the My World globe.
The metal heart prop weighs over 400 pounds.
Highest in-air stunts are performed at 30 feet off the ground.
INSTRUMENTS
20 guitars will be used for the tour.
Two to three-thousand custom guitar picks will be used for the tour.
120 strings are used per week to restring the guitars.
15 drums are on stage each show.
14 sticks a week are used by drummer.
ENTERTAINMENT
On-Tour Video Game Favorites include the XBOX 360 console and games include Call of Duty-Modern Warfare, NBA2K10 and Madden 2010.
