I’m addicted to playing Doodle Jump

It’s probably one of the most stupid, frustrating games on iPod Touch/iPhone but I can’t stop playing it. If haven’t already, please download it so you know what I’m talking about. My top score is pretty weak, 19 thousand something, but I’m determined to get at least 50 thousand by the end of the month.

Tuesday Tidbits

- American Idol 8pm on Fox, the theme is Beatles songs. Tomorrow, Rihanna is performing on American Idol and did you hear? She’s going on tour with Ke$ha and will be in Camden, NJ August 18th. Tix go on sale Saturday at 10am at LiveNation.com

- Dancing with the Stars 8pm on ABC, who will get eliminated?

Have I mentioned how hot I think Chad Ochocinco is?

- Ice Cube has announced that his new album, I Am The West, July 13th

- Jay Z is coming to Trenton, NJ for a “Stop the Violence” rally with Rev. Al Sharpton, Ludacris, Chuck D, and other community leaders on Sat (April 10th) at 7pm at The Lighthouse Outreach ministry. They decided to do this after hearing about the disturbing story of the 15 year old who sold herself and her 7 year old sister to a group of guys that gang raped them. Police have arrested 5 men and looking for more. This story is just sick and twisted. Pure evil and so sad!

- I’m getting my hair done today… getting more layers and want to get rid of any light brown I have. It makes my hair color brassy.

- Have you seen this viral YouTube video of an iPad being destroyed?

Friday Tidbits

- Charlie Sheen is saying bye to Two and a Half Men because he wants more money. Apparently $1 million an episode is not enough and he wants $2 million but CBS won’t budge. Hmm, last time I checked, we were in a recession. Must be nice!!

- Janet Jackson is on the show today to talk about Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Too?” We’ve interviewed her a couple times before and she’s very sensitive to certain questions. Not only that, we received an e-mail of stuff we can’t talk about or ask her. Lets just say, it will probably be a SHORT interview. Her new movie is out today

- Well, there’s a little bit of good news for Sandra Bullock. The Blind Side DVD has reportedly sold over 3 million copies since it’s release March 23. It’s the top selling DVD out right now!

- The Apple iPad is coming out tomorrow and it’s getting a lot of hype. I personally think it’s a waste of money but Franklin (who works in our sales dept) has a great point. He would use it for his sales presentations. Instead of a laptop, the touch screen iPad would definitely look nicer and more professional for his meetings.

- FASHION & CELEBS: Amy Winehouse will be launching a clothing line with British label Fred Perry. The line will debut in stores in October. Price ranges from $32 and $150 and she’s doing it for 4 seasons.

Is there anybody that likes her style?

- Rolling Stone theme on American Idol next week. Four were sent packing last night: Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall, Alex Lambert, and Lily Scott

- FOR SALE: Michael Jackson’s furniture! 22 pieces of his custom-made collection from his London home will be auctioned off. Pieces include gilded red velvet sofa that seats nine, a leopard-print chair trimmed with ostrich feathers and a pair of velvet armchairs embroidered with gold eagles. You can view them at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood casino from June 14 to June 25 before the items are sold at auction. A portion of the proceeds will benefit two charities: MusiCares.

Interesting Tech News… I’m a nerd today!

I read 2 news stories related to technology and I HAD to share!

1)  Would you buy a 3-D TV? Is the hype really going to last?

- There’s a catch to this: The active-shutter LCD glasses that you’ll need to watch 3D video cost a pretty penny. Samsung will be charging $150 a pair for them. Unlike the disposable 3D glasses you get at most movie theaters, the active-shutter glasses necessary for most 3D TVs work by rapidly opening and closing LCD “shutters” in the left and right lenses, thus ensuring that your left and right eyes are seeing the correct left or right image at precisely the right time. The glasses must also sync themselves with your TV via an infrared sensor.

- Samsung was the first of the big four TV makers to flip its 3D pricing cards over this week; Panasonic is up tomorrow, while Sony and LG will follow in the coming weeks and months.

- So, how much are we talking here? Well, expect to spend a whopping $6,999 for the biggest, 55-inch LED C9000, all the way down to $1,999 for the smallest “bargain” set, the 40-inch C7000. (You can check out Samsung’s full 3D TV pricing sheet right here.)

Okay… so I’m not sure if a 3-D TV is necessary… but how cool would it be if you could watch Alien, Gremlins, Terminator, Disney Animations in 3-D?
